We believe that youth theatre should be extraordinary, just as engaging, entertaining and significant as a professional production. Many of our leading Australian artists and cultural leaders have developed their skills and networks in youth theatre. It is from this wellspring of creativity and collaboration that the next generation of performers, directors, writers, innovators and entrepreneurs will emerge. Directed by professional theatre makers, each Perseverance Street youth production mirrors industry approaches to rehearsal. This results in innovative, visually stunning theatre that showcases the phenomenal young talent of this region. Theatre to remember and be proud of.

LEAP or the Leading Emerging Artists Program, is an advanced training and performance making program for young and emerging artists committed to taking their performance skills in acting, singing and choreography to the next level through the musical/cabaret style. With a focus on industry expectations, artist health and wellbeing and capacity building, this program offers the perfect springboard for young and emerging artists to leap into the Arts industry. Cabaret offers the perfect style to build multi skilled performance and devising skills.

Joining LEAP is a life changing personal and creative development program delivered in a nurturing group format that prioritises personal growth and the creative process.

This program is available for ages 16 – 25. Admission into the program is by audition and interview, with only ten places available.
